The settlement follows more than three years of litigation alleging that problems with the software transition led to arrests on invalid warrants and delayed releases from jail. If approved, up to $1 million would be used to compensate eligible class members. Those wrongfully arrests could receive $2,800 per arrest, and those held in jails for more than six hours after meeting all conditions of release could receive an additional $500, plus $350 for each additional hour beyond the thresholds outlined in the settlement agreement. The compensation would be capped at $5,000 per person.
