Wake County students and staff discuss technology use concerns

Students and school leaders will meet Tuesday to discuss the results of a survey about student use of technology inside classrooms. The Wake County school board is set to investigate the issue of screen time in classrooms, following a survey by teachers who felt they were competing with other devices for students' attention. The survey found that high school students spend up to 90 minutes per school day on their devices, while the average high school student spends 39 minutes per day on YouTube. Students and school leaders will meet to discuss the results.
