Trial set to begin for former Eastlawn Elementary School principal arrested for sex crimes
ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man accused of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old while working as a principal in Alamance County is set to head to trial. In late December 2023, Daniel Stephen Mc… Daniel Stephen McInnis, former principal at Eastlawn Elementary School in Alamance County, North Carolina, is set to go to trial for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old boy while working there. McInnos was charged with one count each of felony statutory sex offense, sex act with a student, indecent liberties with a child, and sexual battery. The victim was a 9-year old boy. Mcinnis was suspended with pay when the allegations were brought out, and an interim principal began in January 2024 when dismissal was recommended. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole.
