A comfortable last day of the NC State Fair, dry streak persists
Our pleasant fall weather lasts through the rest of weekend and next week. It will be a bit chilly overnight, then it will be very comfortable by the afternoon Sunday. The final day of the NC State Fair will be pleasant, with temperatures reaching the upper 60s-70°. High pressure is expected to dominate our weather for the rest of the weekend and the first half of next week, remaining dry and pleasant. Temperatures will remain above normal on average throughout the month, with precipitation expected to be above normal for November. With El Niño expected to continue through winter, more rain is expected as we approach colder months. The latest drought report for central North Carolina showed little change from previous week, although some northern communities remain in extreme drought.
