Link Transit is providing… The City of Burlington, North Carolina, has authorized free rides to the polls on Election Day in Alamance County on Nov. 3 to allow citizens of the county an opportunity to vote. Link Transit is providing free rides on all routes and services to make participation in the election process easier and more accessible. The bus service covers destinations from Burlington, Mebane, Elon, Gibsonville, Haw River and Green Level to voting sites at the Alamance county Office Building, the Alamances County Courthouse and Alamance Community College. The Federal Transit Administration is encouraging public transit agencies across the country to improve access to the polling locations.
