The settlement, if approved, would make up to $1 million available for eligible class members. Those wrongfully arrests could receive $2,800 per arrest, and those held in jails for more than six hours after meeting all conditions of release could receive an additional $500, plus $350 for each additional hour beyond the thresholds outlined in the settlement agreement. The compensation would be capped at $5,000 per person. The agreement resolves only the claims against Tyler Technologies; the claims are pending against Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry L. McFadden.
