Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has stated that Speaker Mike Johnson, Speaker of Louisiana, is "100 percent" under orders from President Trump, and therefore relinquishes the power of Congress. This comes amid complaints from members of the House that the House is giving up too much power to the White House. Greene, who will resign from Congress effective Jan. 5, has fallen out with President Trump over the past year and plans to retire rather than put her district through a messy primary. She has also publicly criticized Johnson, calling him a "coward" and a "battered wife." The White House responded by saying that Johnson remains the undisputed leader of the MAGA movement.
